Overview
This ce activity's main objective is to provide disease state awareness of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) as well as current treatment and preventative options.  By the end of the presentation, the learner will be able 1) to describe the pathophysiology and clinical presentation of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection, 2) outline the preventative approaches and treatment options available for RSV, 3) recognize current challenges in the care for patients with RSV, and 4) identify future direction and emerging therapies to improve RSV associated outcomes.

Objectives
  Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

 


  1. Describe the pathophysiology and clinical presentation of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection.
  2. Outline the preventative approaches and treatment options available for RSV.
  3. Recognize current challenges in the care for patients with RSV.
  4. Identify future direction and emerging therapies to improve RSV associated outcomes.
