Overview
The virtual 6th Annual Rutgers Critical Care Symposium will provide an overview of a wide variety of current pharmacotherapy controversies and new standards influencing the practice of critical care, including speaker insights on recent evidence-based recommendations.  This symposium will include topics such as, but not limited to therapeutic drug monitoring, viscoelastic testing, point of care ultrasound, pros and cons of tenecteplase in ischemic stroke compared to alteplase, and controversies surrounding neuromuscular blocking agents.

Objectives
  Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

 


  1. Review the evolving role of thromboelastography and modern hemostatic resuscitation practices.
  2. Discuss beta-lactam antibiotics TDM, review supporting evidence, and provide guidance for implementation in the critically ill.
  3. Debate the risks and benefits of tenecteplase vs. tissue plasinogen activator for stroke thrombolysis.
  4. Evaluate best practices for selecting a paralytic agent, dosing, and monitoring in the ICU.
  5. Integrate POCUS for hemodynamic monitoring in the ICU.

Registration

Registration closes promptly at 8:00AM on April 12, 2023.  Pharmacists seeking professional credit are to be certain to include your nabp# and birth data in the Profile section of the registration. 

In order to claim credit all professionals must complete the pre test, post test on the day of this ce activity and evaluation must be completed online by April 21st, 2023.
