Overview
This year's conference theme, "Advancing Our Profession Through Pharmacy Collaboration" will ensure opportunities for networking and idea sharing among stakeholders across the profession and region.  Continuing pharmacy education offerings will emphasize critical issues impacting the pharmacy profession, including the impact of Drug Supply chain Security Act and impact and requirements delineated in the United State Pharmacopoeia (USP) General Chapter 795 regulations.  Emphasis on pharmacy workforce wellness, emerging practice models and technologies will be incorporated.

Objectives
  Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

 


  1. Articulate best practices for addressing gaps in practice related to the emerging USP<795> nonsterile pharmaceutical compounding standards and implications for pharmacy professionals.
  2. Enumerate practice changes related to medication dispensation in the face of the final phase of the DSCSA standards.
  3. Describe the necessity of collaboration in contemporary pharmacy practice in supporting emerging roles and professional practice change.
  4. Define the implications for shifting to a competency-based educational experience for pharmacist learners and emerging roles for pharmacy technicians.

In order to claim credit you must attend in-person, sign attendance form for each day you attend, and then complete online evaluation.  Partial credit is available, so you may attend for either all or part of this 3-day CE offering.

In support of improving patient care, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
