Overview
Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within pharmacy practices is not new, however, best practices for use of AI within medication information and patient safety practice is in development.  studies highlighting the use of AI within drug information and medication safety have been published recently, but its use to improve overall patient care is still evolving.  the goal of this activity is to provide pharmacists and technicians with a fundamental understanding of AI and its applications to medication information and safety.  We also aim to empower pharmacists and technicians to assess AI, i.e., ChatGPT, versus human-generated responses to medication information requests.
