New Jersey CCIS Clinical Capacity Improvement Project: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Asynchronous

Objectives
  Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

 


  1. Examine how to adapt DBT skills training for short-term intensive environments.
  2. Practice skills from each of the four DBT skills modules (Core Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotion Regulation, and Distress Tolerance)
  3. Demonstrate how skills training groups are structured.
  4. Apply procedures for addressing therapy-interfering behavior in skills groups.

Registration

This course is limited to the interprofessional treatment team serving individuals in CHILDREN'S CRISIS INTERVENTION SERVICES (CCIS) throughout New Jersey.  This course should be taken by each learner independently.

A note to participants: Each CCIS unit received a copy of the DBT manual (either e-book or hardcopy), and this is necessary to complete the course. If their unit did not receive a copy of the DBT manual, please contact our team to request a copy. can reach out to CSOC Training and Consultation. 


Accreditation and Credit Designation

In support of improving patient care, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

 Physicians: Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences designates this enduring material for a maximum of 10.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurses: This activity is awarded 10.0 contact hours (60 min CH). Nurses should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
