Objective(s): 1 Define the current Tumor %, Node (N), and Metastasis (M) staging of lung cancer and other thoracic malignancies and their relationship to treatment approaches and survival outcomes. 2 Correlate and integrate the clinical oncologic diagnosis with the pathologic, radiologic, and surgical findings of the cases presented. 3 Analyze oncological decision making processes and judgment to identify approaches to patient management and care, including cancer treatments (and management of toxicities), and supportive care. 4 Identify alternative courses of action and new knowledge, including cancer clinical trials presented to improve specific patient outcomes and quality of life 5 Evaluate new technology, molecular targets, and therapies in oncological care and recommend adoption of best practices.

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:


  1. Define the current Tumor %, Node (N), and Metastasis (M) staging of lung cancer and other thoracic malignancies and their relationship to treatment approaches and survival outcomes.
