Overview

The 3rd Annual Supporting Youth Mental Health Needs Conference, features keynote presentations by Dr. Joel Nunez and Mr. Christopher “Talib” Charriez, both of whom bring deep expertise in youth mental health and justice-involved populations. The conference is specifically designed youth serving organizations, providing tactionable insights and evidence-based strategies to support youth navigating the juvenile justice system. Learners will gain a deeper understanding of trauma-informed care, resilience-building, and cross-system collaboration—critical competencies for professionals working with vulnerable yout fostering a community of practice committed to transforming risk into resilience.

In support of improving patient care, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Social Workers (The New Jersey Board of Social Work Examiners):  This program is approved for social work continuing education hours by Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care in accordance with New Jersey administrative code 13:44G-6.4 and recognized by The New Jersey Board of Social Work Examiners.  This program is approved for 5.0 clinical continuing education hours.

Psychologists: Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs. (5.0 CE Credits).  

Certified Counselors:  Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6198.  Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified.  Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care is solely responsible for all aspects of the program. (5.0 Clock Hours)
