HCANJ 27th Assisted Living Conference

This education program is designed to support and advance nurses by aligning practice with the evolving standards and expectations of the assisted living industry. It focuses on strengthening knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to deliver high-quality, compliant care in a constantly changing healthcare environment.

1. Demonstrate implementation of at least one strategy to improve employee retention within their unit or department (e.g., mentorship program, career ladder initiative, or engagement survey).
2. Develop and document an interdisciplinary communication plan to enhance team collaboration and unity.
3. Facilitate at least one staff-driven initiative that increases grassroots engagement and participation in process improvement.
4. Identify, assess, and document at least one risk mitigation strategy for clinical or operational challenges.
5. Revise or update one policy or procedure to ensure compliance with current regulatory and guidance requirements.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences and Health Care Association of NJ. Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
