Overview

This multidisciplinary CME program is designed to address critical gaps in the rapidly evolving field of gastroenterology. Advances in endoscopic technology, artificial intelligence, and therapeutic options have transformed the management of gastrointestinal diseases yet challenges remain in integrating these innovations into clinical practice.

Healthcare providers face variability in applying evidence-based guidelines, selecting appropriate endoscopic interventions, utilizing emerging technologies, and managing complex chronic GI conditions. Additional gaps in care coordination, quality metrics, and patient-centered care continue to impact outcomes.

Through expert-led presentations, case-based discussions, and practical insights, this program will equip clinicians with the ability to apply current evidence to GI bleeding, pancreaticobiliary disease, hepatology, IBD, and advanced polyp management; tools needed to enhance diagnostic accuracy, use biomarkers and endoscopic findings more effectively in care decisions; select appropriate endoscopic therapies with greater confidence, and improve interdisciplinary coordination and patient follow-up; improve procedural quality, and deliver high-value, patient-centered care.

Target Audience
This activity is designed for physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses and other allied health professionals involved in the care of patients with gastrointestinal disease, including those working in gastroenterology, hepatology, inflammatory bowel disease, endoscopy, and related procedural services.

Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

  1. Apply current evidence-based guidelines to the diagnosis and management of common and complex gastrointestinal disorders.
  2. Evaluate and select appropriate endoscopic techniques and interventions, including advanced therapeutic procedures, based on patient-specific factors.
  3. Integrate emerging technologies, including AI-assisted imaging and advanced diagnostics, into clinical and endoscopic practice.
  4. Optimize management strategies for chronic GI diseases, including IBD and liver disease, using current evidence and therapeutic options.
  5. Implement quality and safety measures to improve endoscopic outcomes and reduce complications.
  6. Enhance multidisciplinary communication and coordination to improve continuity and efficiency of care.
  7. Integrate multidisciplinary communication and care pathways to improve safety, efficiency, and continuity across GI and endoscopy services.
  8. Apply practical implementation strategies that improve adoption of current evidence in real-world gastroenterology and endoscopy practice.
