Objectives
 
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

 


  1. Gain skills on how to think quickly and accurately with confidence
  2. Implement strategies to connect, engage and keep your team motivated during change and uncertainty
  3. Develop strategies to secure employees and empower them within the facility. Communication is key!
  4. Review strategies for bringing staff, family and patients together with grassroots efforts
  5. Recognize common communication barriers within long-term care organizations, including departmental silos, shift-based communication challenges, information overload, and inconsistent messaging.
  6. Apply practical communication strategies to strengthen employee connection, accountability, and alignment with organizational goals and values.
  7. Know there is data to study and compare to your best practices so that you can avoid the trending survey tags by implement policy
  8. Implement partial technology tips so when using AI you are doing it safely/securely/sensibly
  9. Understand the latest state and federal updates in long term care
