Overview

Together in this live, 3 part webinar (spread over 3 days) attendees will discuss how we as professionals consult on and diagnose people, who have suffered a traumatic event by utilizing cinema as an illustrative teaching tool. 

Attendees must be present for all 3 days to receive CE credit.

Objectives
Upon completion of this course attendees will be able to:

  1. List the signs (clinical criteria) for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  2. Understand the neurobiology of paranoia and auditory hallucinations as it relates to PTSD
  3. Formulate Ben Kanobi in Freudian (fantasy) and Jungian (Old Ben) constructs
  4. Name 3 Dissociative Disorders in describing the emergence of Darth Vader

Registration

Fee: $69

Registration fee includes the presentation and CE Certificate for each attendee.

In support of improving patient care, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Nurses:  This activity is awarded 5.0 contact hours (CH)

Physicians:  Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Psychologists: This course is approved for 5.0 CE Credits. Continuing Education (CE) Credits for Psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs. 



Certified Counselors:  Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6198. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified.  Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care is solely responsible for all aspects of the program. (5.0 Clock Hours).

Social Workers (The New Jersey Board of Social Work Examiners):  This program is approved for 5.0 general social work continuing education hours by Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care in accordance with New Jersey administrative code 13:44G-6.4 and recognized by The New Jersey Board of Social Work Examiners.
