Critical Care Ultrasound Course - September 2021

This course is designed for critical care physicians, APPs and includes practical applications in basic vascular, lung/abdominal, and cardiac ultrasonography. The course focuses on the hands-on applications as well as image interpretation.

Breakout Sessions (Acquisitions Hands-On Training):

• Basic Echocardiography
• Lung and Pleural Ultrasound
• Abdominal Ultrasound
• IVC Ultrasound
• Detection of Deep Venous Thrombosis

1. Discuss the knowledge base required to perform critical care ultrasonography.
2. Incorporate the interpretation skills required for taking critical care ultrasonography into frontline management of the ICU.
3. Perform 4 basic cardiac windows in Point of Care Ultrasound. Evaluate qualitative evaluation of LV EF, RV diameter, and IVC variability.
4. Evaluate pleural, abdominal, vascular access.
5. Interpret image-based clinical cases.

Refund Policy:

A refund, less a $50 cancellation fee, will be granted if notice is received 2 weeks prior to the course date via email at [email protected]. Refunds cannot be given for “no shows” or cancellations received once the program has started.

Method of Participation:

In order to meet the learning objectives and receive continuing education credit, participants are required to sign in at the Registration Desk prior to the start of the course, complete the course, and complete the online evaluation form at the conclusion of the course. A letter certifying attendance and credit certification will be emailed to participants upon completion of the online evaluation survey.
