Overview
The intent of this activity is to provide an overview of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown and infection on glycemic control in patients with Type 2 Diabetes.  The goals of this activity are to illustrate the effects of both the lockdown and COVID-19 infection on the management of glycemic control and to propose potential options to assist in achieving glycemic control moving forward.

Objectives
  Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

 


  1. Recall the pathophysiology and general diagnostic criteria for type 2 diabetes (T2DM).
  2. Identify the effects of the pandemic lockdown and COVID-19 infection on management of glycemic control in patients with T2DM.
  3. Describe glycemic management interventions and technologies that have emerged during COVID-19 pandemic to support long-term glycemic control.

Registration

Registration IS OPEN.   This activity for EMSOP Fellows and their AstraZeneca Host colleagues.

All professionals seeking continuing education credit absolutely must complete the pre tests, the post test and the evaluation on the day of the activity, in order to receive credit. 

The link to the actual zoom ce activity will be sent the day prior to the event to only those that have registered by Jun 13, 2022 at noon.
