Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity the learner will be able to: 


  1. Explain the theoretical foundation of ABFT.
  2. Discuss the empirical support for ABFT.
  3. Describe the five treatment task structure of the model.
  4. Identify the strategies used in the five treatment tasks.
  5. Explain how to organize therapy around interpersonal growth rather than behavioral management.

Activity is a virtual event, to be held live, via Drexel University Zoom. Zoom links will be distributed 1 week prior to event.

Social Workers: This program is approved for social work continuing education hours by Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care in accordance with New Jersey administrative code 13:44G-6.4 and recognized by The New Jersey Board of Social Work Examiners. This program is approved for 6.0 clinical social work continuing education hours.

Marriage and Family Therapists: This course has been submitted content review for 6 recertification credits for Marriage and Family Therapists to The Certification Board of NJ, Inc. 

Licensed Professional Counselors: his course has been submitted content review for Licensed Professional Counselors and Licensed Associate Counselors as approved by The Certification Board of NJ, Inc.
