We will not be accepting any registrations after 12:00pm on Tuesday, June 29th.

This activity will provide practicing clinicians with an update of the most recent advances in otolaryngology. Through lectures, case presentations, and question and answer periods, this symposium will provide an overview of the latest evidence, trends and innovations in the management of thyroid disorders.

Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

  1. Define criteria for workup of thyroid nodules and role of genetic testing in indeterminate nodules
  2. Discuss the evaluation, clinical, and ultrasound criteria for fine-needle aspiration biopsy and interpretation of fine-needle aspiration biopsy results for the management of thyroid nodules
  3. Summarize the current strategies for treating thyroid eye disease
  4. Recognize malpractice litigation considerations and trends surrounding thyroid/parathyroid surgery
  5. Evaluate the safety and efficacy of active surveillance for low-risk papillary thyroid carcinoma
  6. Review the latest evidence on the use of radiofrequency ablation on reducing thyroid nodule volume and improving local symptoms

*Registration must be accompanied by program director’s letter confirming resident/fellow/trainee status. Please upload your letter when registering or email it to [email protected].

Registration fee includes continuing education credits and course material. Registration for the symposium can only be accepted through our secure online website until June 28, 2021 at 12:00pm. Registration will not be confirmed until payment is received.  If payment is not received in time for the activity, Rutgers reserves the right to cancel the registration.

Pre-registration is required.

Confirmation
Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email. As the activity date approaches, you will receive additional information to assist you with your plans to participate in the activity.

Cancellation/Refund
A full refund, less a $25 cancellation fee, will be granted if notice is received no later than June 29, 2020. Refunds will not be issued for any cancellation received after June 29, 2020 and cannot be given for no shows. To cancel, please contact CCOE by email at [email protected].
