The event features information compassion fatigue and various sessions addressing stigma in mental health, criminal justice, aging, sober living, gambling, child protection, volunteerism, harm reduction, cultural impacts on mental health recovery, and veteran experiences. Attendees will gain insights into reducing stigma, fostering respect, and promoting well-being across diverse communities. Lunch includes a special journaling workshop focused on self-compassion and resilience.

Target audience: Professional Counselors, Juvenile Justice Professionals, School counselors, Case Managers, Social Workers, Student Assistance Counselors, Public Health Professionals, Volunteers, Behavioral Health Adovocates, Human Services Stakeholders and those in the helping professions.

Accreditation and Credit Designation

In support of improving patient care, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Social Workers (The New Jersey Board of Social Work Examiners):  This program is approved for social work continuing education hours by Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care in accordance with New Jersey administrative code 13:44G-6.4 and recognized by The New Jersey Board of Social Work Examiners.  This program is approved for 3.0 clinical continuing education hours.

Licensed and Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselors:  This course will count for 3.0 recertification credits for Addiction Professionals as approved by The Certification board of NJ, Inc.

Professional Counselors: Each course will count for 3.0 recertification credits towards Certified Recovery Support Practitioner as approved by the Certification Board of NJ, Inc
