Overview

Through participation in this activity, learners will gain enhanced confidence navigating the complex healthcare environment across various stages of professional development, ensuring safe and effective drug information for diverse populations and requests.


Objectives
 
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

 


  1. Identify authoritative drug information resources (e.g., tertiary databases, primary literature sources, formulary tools, or AI-enabled applications) and when each is most appropriate to use for common drug information questions.
  2. Describe the key steps in a systematic drug information question-answering process, including question clarification, resource selection, evidence appraisal, synthesis, and documentation, as applicable to both pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
  3. Explain how drug information tools and resources support formulary decision-making and P&T committee activities, including the development of concise and evidence-based drug monographs and recommendations.

Registration

You must register and complete the online evaluation of this activity in order to receive professional credit. If you are registered, you will receive the presentation link one day prior to February 5, 2026 at noon.

Registration will close on February 3, 2026 at 7:00pm.
