Overview

The goal of the workshop is to promote political knowledge, interactions, and activities with focus on developing the skills to develop and deliver testimony for nursing and healthcare policy.


Objectives
 
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

 


  1. Interpret an example of NJ legislation relating to nursing/healthcare.
  2. Develop a purpose statement, key messages, and supporting messages for testimony.
  3. Deliver a mock testimony including an introduction, position statement, key points, and closing.
  4. Describe the steps to take before, during, and after testimony at the statehouse.
