Overview

The intent of this program is to provide continual preceptor development to pharmacists who precept students in the Intermediate and Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE).

It is also intended to provide the preceptor audience with information on entrustable professional activities, drug information skills, and health literacy.

Objectives
The intent of this program is to provide continual preceptor development to pharmacists who precept students in the Intermediate and Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE).  It is also being held to provide the preceptor audience with information on Entrustable Professional Activities, drug information skills, and health literacy.

  1. Define and describe the necessity for the Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs)
  2. Introduce model which is projected for May 2020 to identify potential EPAs that will involve rotations
  3. Compare and contrast prior and new pharmacy curriculum
  4. Describe innovative technology used in the classroom and skills lab
  5. List the drug information resources available to pharmacists
  6. Compare differences between health care provider and health care consumer drug information resources
  7. Analyze the validity of internet drug information resources
  8. Develop search plans for answering patient questions

Registration Closes: End -Of-Day, Tuesday, October 8, 2019

Preceptor Registration Fee: Free of Charge for Preceptors

Registration Fee Includes: CE program, handout materials, breakfast and CE certificates for each attendee upon completion of pre-test and post-test during the program and the evaluation within two weeks.

How to Received CE Credit: Participants must come prepared with a smartphone, tablet or laptop, attend the program in its entirety, and complete the pre-test and post-test. Upon completing this activity with a passing score of 70% or more, and completing the evaluation within two weeks, participants will be able to download the CE Certificate associated with this preceptor program.
