Overview

We will not be accepting any registrations after 3:00pm on Wednesday, October 6th.

The 3rd Annual Stroke and Neurocritical Care Symposium (SNCC) is designed to provide physicians and allied healthcare professionals with a comprehensive overview on the cutting-edge management for cerebrovascular diseases and neurocritical care including useful information on recognition and treatment of neurological emergencies.  Topics to be covered include neurovascular surgery, cerebrovascular emergencies and neurocritical care.  In addition, medical crossfire debates, consisting of experts in the field, will provide spirited discussions and debates on a particular clinical issue.

Course Directors’ Message
Welcome to our third annual CME symposium on Stroke and Neurocritical Care (SNCC): Extending the Windows and Saving Lives Beyond Expectation. This year continues to be  extremely challenging for healthcare providers due to the pandemic. The SNCC symposium this year will be conducted virtually again.

There are several hot topics including the new TPA, tenecteplase, administrating IV thrombolytic therapy for strokes with unknown onset as well as the new RCT data from TTM-2.

In addition, emphasis will be on improving care for the primary neurocritical condition, better recognition, prevention, and correction of medical complications and secondary brain injury. Examination of health care delivery, management strategies, and identification of individual thresholds by means of advanced technology will all play important roles. Neurocritical care and research is a multidisciplinary and multiprofessional effort, and neurointensivists are tasked to lead this effort to further advance their field.

Please join us for this exciting third annual program on Stroke and Neurocritical Care!

  2. Discuss the latest trends on acute stroke therapeutics including the use of thrombolysis for patients with unknown onset of stroke and new TNK as alternative to alteplase
  3. Describe the emerging research in neurological and neurosurgical emergencies
  4. Recognize key methods for treating multiple end organ system failures that occur in patients with acute brain injury
  5. Review the latest international guidelines on ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, neurotrauma and neuro-intensive care medicine
